WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR... RUN! (OR WALK)

Picture
The Butterfly Run aims to support individuals and families in the Ottawa region who have experienced a loss during pregnancy, the loss of a child, pregnancy after loss, or are unable to conceive.

While the world looks very different these days, we are committed to supporting this community. This year, we gathered together virtually to run/walk for this special event. Thank you to everyone who participated and/or donated!

It is estimated that 1 in 4 women will experience miscarriage or pregnancy loss (also known as perinatal loss) and that 1 in 6 Canadians experience infertility.
Being a bereaved parent is a path that no one should walk alone. Thank you for helping us continue support individuals/families year after year.

Why walk
or run?

Supporting Ottawa and area families who have experienced infertility, a loss during pregnancy or the loss of an infant. The Butterfly Run Ottawa aims to raise awareness around pregnancy loss, child loss, pregnancy after loss, and infertility. The run also aims to show support and compassion for those who've experienced such losses.

In addition to raising awareness and supporting those who've experienced miscarriage, infant loss and/or infertility, all proceeds from the run are donated to Roger Neilson House (RNH).

RNH offers multiple services, including a Perinatal Hospice program which provides support to families whose babies are likely to die before, during, or shortly after birth. Perinatal Hospice includes comprehensive support from the time of diagnosis, through the birth and death of the infant, and into the postpartum period.

RNH also offers a Perinatal Loss Bereavement Support Group for parents who have lost a pregnancy over 20 weeks or infant death (up to the first 28 days of life).
